The Beginning
In 1995, Michael Pierce moved to the Green Bay area and jumped straight into the roofing and general contracting trade. He spent years learning every aspect of the business — working on crews, running jobs, and building the kind of hands-on experience that you can't get from a textbook.
When his first child was on the way, Michael made a decision. At 23 years old, he went out on his own. Not because it was the easy path — working for someone else would have been less stress and less risk. He did it because he wanted to build something for his family.
That decision became Pierce Roofing.
Building a Legacy
Nearly three decades later, Pierce Roofing is still family-owned and operated. Michael is a father of five, grandfather of three, and the same hands-on roofer he was on day one.
He still oversees every project personally — from the initial inspection to the final walkthrough. His standard hasn't changed: we do good work and we don't stop until it's done.

Overcoming Adversity
Michael lost his leg in a work accident. Rather than slowing him down, it became a source of strength — both in his business and in his community.
He volunteers with the Green Bay Action Sports Organization (GBASO), where he mentors young athletes through action sports and winter sports programs. He shares his story with the kids — showing them that setbacks don't define you, and that nothing can hold you back if you refuse to quit.
The same grit that got Michael through that chapter of his life is the same grit he brings to every roofing project.
